SIMS 3 - Update error - I/0 OPERATION FAILED

Issue

I'm trying to update Sims 3 , but I'm stuck on the following error message:

•  " I/0 OPERATION FAILED (ATTRIBUTE MODIFICATION) " 

Solution

• Simply turn off your antivirus/firewall before performing the update.
